Discretionary Financial Support for Higher Education Students

The Bradford College Access to Learning Fund is a discretionary fund for students who find themselves in financial hardship and require extra financial support to remain on their Higher Education course.

Old System Students

The following information is for students who started their course before 1 September 2012.

Support That May Be Available

  • Top-up of tuition fees, that are not covered after receipt of the full statutory support from Student Finance England
  • Grants towards books, materials, travel etc.
  • Childcare support - childcare providers must be OFSTED registered and students must not be in receipt of the Childcare Element of Working Tax Credits
  • £200 top-up grant in receipt of a DSA grant that includes the purchase of a laptop

New System Students

The following information is for students who started their course on or after 1 September 2012.

Support That May Be Available
