Technical and Production Arts for Film and Television Channel 4 to open new HQ

Gain the craft and technical skills you need for a successful career in the film, TV and creative industries. Whilst studying this degree, you’ll immerse yourself in preproduction, production and production management. You will study drawing techniques for production design, sound and lighting techniques for film and television, CAD for production design, production management, stage management, costume design, prop making and media make-up.

Once you’ve graduated, careers such as technical designer, art director and production personnel will be yours for the taking.

Bring together your love of film with technical skills and knowledge alongside theoretical understanding, and allow your creativity to reach its full potential in this rewarding, yet notoriously competitive sector. By studying at our University Centre you’ll develop your passion by studying film in all areas including cinematography, direction, editing, scriptwriting, production and storytelling.

Through inspiring projects and wider collaborations, you’ll hone your skills as a creative and innovative film-maker.

The average salary for graduates is 30% higher than for non-graduates aged 25-30.
