In September Ian Jones, Scholarship and Research Coordinator attended the International Conference of Social Pedagogy in Girona Spain.
The event took place at The Girona Auditorium and Conference Centre from 14 -16 September 2016 and discussed which means and resources might best enable us to offer young people optimal conditions for their empowerment, in addition to addressing other questions related to youth, social pedagogy and social transformations.
Ian's conference paper appears on page 131 of the conference book. His article is titled 'Is there a place for a 'social pedagogic' ideology within UK contemporary youth and community work and should it embrace or resist it in the current socio-economic and 'neo-liberalist' climate?
