There's an old medical saying that the mouth is the mirror of the body; healthy teeth and gums means a healthier, happier body. With continuing advances in dentistry practice, the UK is now tuned into taking care of its teeth, meaning there's never been a better time to explore a career in dental health.
Training is vital in a dental health team, you'll learn skills crucial to customer-facing roles. With a calm, confident, manner, you'll not only get to know your patients, but will be the person who can offer a friendly face and comforting words, which could transform a client's experience.
Start your dental health career with us and you'll study within our brand new Northern Dental Education Centre (NORDEC) where you'll learn the essential skills you need to progress in your chosen field. You'll also gain vital work experience as some of your time will be spent working in a dental setting, meaning you'll continue to up-skill your career knowledge.
Once you've successfully completed your study programme you'll have opportunities to pursue a career as a dental support worker, decontamination assistant, dental receptionist or you could simply choose to continue further training in the Dental Health industry.
The Course was a very informative insight to dentistry and the situations we would face. I personally think that it has given me an advantage when working in a dental practice as well as progressing to level 3 which is an apprenticeship in dental nursing
