Studying at Bradford College you will learn and play in world-class facilities. Olympians, sports professionals and athletes have trained in our gym, basketball courts, football pitches and boxing gym. Olympic teams from China, India, Vietnam, Nigeria and Tanzania trained in our sports facilities as part of their preparation for the 2012 Games.
Sports clubs and academies
We offer a high level of coaching across Football, Rugby, Cricket, Boxing, Tennis and Racketsports and Fitness. Recently we have set up relationships with RIASA football, Bradford Bulls Foundation, Yorkshire Cricket Foundation and Boxing England. We have helped create talented sports stars who have gone on to represent the nation and become professional athletes. If you study our BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma in Sport you will be required to take part in one of these sports academies as part of your study.
Our courses are work-related and we therefore expect the same standards as an employer would. This means that you will be required to wear a uniform and adhere to guidelines on appearance and attendance. In addition, on some days, you will be required to attend twilight classes. Most senior roles will require a degree-level qualification. Our courses are designed to ensure you are qualified to progress onto degree level courses or move onto related subjects.
As a Sport student, you may choose to study Coaching, Football Coaching, Sports Science, Sport & Exercise, Sport Journalism, Nutrition, Sport and Management, Sports Rehabilitation.
