Counselling and Psychology in Community Settings

If you want to make a difference to the wellbeing of others, in your community or the wider community or the wider society, then this course is for you! Our BA (Hons) Counselling and Psychology in Community Settings combines high level counselling skills with psychological understanding to give you a range of insights and perspectives on human behaviour, problems and concerns.

Early Years

HE Social care student

Studying Early Years Practice, you'll investigate and evaluate the theories, policies and legislation affecting children aged 0 - 6, studying modules such as Human Development and Learning, Meeting Individual Needs, Leadership, and Professional Development. 

Health & Social Welfare

Our courses will prepare you for a fulfilling career supporting children, young people, and adults in this rewarding sector.

Our courses address the social issues currently being debated in Health and Social Care, preparing you for the complex and demanding roles that will be required in your professional working life. Social Work

BA (Hons) Social Work, combines academic study with practice to give you a challenging professional qualification in Social Work, you will also be provided with both the theoretical knowledge and the practical experience to succeed in the Social Work profession. 

Additionally we offer a BA (Hons) Social Work integrated degree apprenticeship. The university centre is also a provider for the Assessed and Supported Year in Employment (ASYE) post-qualifying training in partnership with Bradford Local Authority.

Youth Work & Community Development

Our Youth Work and Community Development programmes will transform you into a highly skilled practitioner in the rewarding sector of youth and community work.

You’ll investigate and evaluate the theories, policies and legislation supporting current good practice, to develop your knowledge of youth and community practice. You’ll also develop academic skills that will improve your work performance and your career opportunities in the field.
