Welcome to courses for adults

We have the perfect course for you, whether you want to develop skills for employment and career development, gain a professional qualification in your field, open up new areas of employment, or simply learn a new skill for pleasure. See our 19+ full-time students' course guide for 2019.

Study options for adults aged 19+ include Apprenticeships and GCSEs, and courses in subjects ranging from Construction to Science.

Our popular Distance Learning courses allow you to study in the comfort of your own home, for recognised accreditation that is of value to your work and personal development. We also offer a range of online learning courses, from GCSEs to professional and career enhancement courses, to develop your skills in a flexible way that fits around you.

Our part-time community courses for adults can fit in with your work and family commitments. Whether you would like to take up a new hobby, study for your own personal development, learn a foreign language or simply enjoy meeting people, we have something for you.

If you don't feel comfortable in a large college environment and need a more supportive approach, take a look at Forster College. We work with learners to address and overcome barriers to engaging with education, training and employment, providing an alternative option for education.
