Bradford College Plus enables all students to maximise their life chances following their studies by helping them gain the valuable experience, knowledge and skills which prospective employers and higher education providers are looking for.
As a Bradford College student this scheme will help you to prepare for continuing education, employment, life and citizenship, giving recognition to the extra-curricular activities that you are involved in.
Enrichment is a key part of your student journey and this is your opportunity to make the most of your time here. We offer a wide range of FREE activities, so whether you already have an interest you'd like to develop, or, you want to try something new see below to find out what’s on.
Enrichment activities available to Bradford College students
|Basketball||Get involved in our basketball classes run by professional coach Zaman Akbary. This is for all levels; from those who are experienced to those who have never picked up a basketball before|
|Cricket||Calling all cricket enthusiasts, come along to our weekly cricket sessions working in partnership with the Yorkshire Cricket Foundation and the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB).|
|Health and Fitness||Come along to this group which takes place in gym where you will have access to a fully qualified personal trainer to help you achieve your health and fitness goals. From toning up and improving your general fitness to passing a public service entry fitness test (Army, Police, RAF etc.), no goal is too ambitious! So what are you waiting for?|
|Badminton||Rackets at the ready! Badminton classes open to all abilities; join in, improve your fitness levels and most importantly have fun.|
|Dance||If you have a passion for dance then not get involved, we already have a hip hop/street/contemporary group set up.|
|Cooking||Roll up your sleeves and learn your coriander from your cardamom and baking powder from your baking soda in cookery classes which will include worldwide dishes and budget friendly meals to make your money go further. We provide the ingredients and you get to cook and eat whatever delights that you make.|
|Politics Project||This project is for anybody and everybody and is about sorting the facts from the fiction. Politics has a major impact on our everyday lives and we want to get young people interested in politics.|
|Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge||Come and join us in the Yorkshire Three Peak's challenge which will be taking place in June 2019. Do you have what it takes to climb three mountains in under 12 hours? Would you like to take part in this event whilst raising money for a worthy cause? If so, then this is the challenge for you!|
|Volunteering||We have various opportunities for students to get involved in volunteering; from helping out with a local cause to supporting Bradford College events and campaigns.|
|Games Design and Development||This group is for anyone who is interested in games design and development from the use of game development software to designing game graphics. You’ll get the opportunity to work on group and personal projects where you will develop your own skills and knowledge.|
