Here you will find out everything you need to know about sitting your exams at Bradford College as a Private Candidate; from making your application through to sitting your exams.
We are an approved centre for the AQA, Edexcel, OCR, and WJEC examination boards. We accommodate most of the standard subjects, and have also worked in partnership with CloudLearn to offer online learners the opportunity to take their exams here.
Please search our subjects to confirm exactly which courses/units Bradford College can offer you:
In addition to catering for our own part-time and full-time candidates we accept private candidates who wish to enter for some GCSE/IGCSE, GCE AS and GCE A2 examinations.
Please note we accept candidates for exams only. Coursework/controlled assessment/practical assessments are carried forward only (known as cashing-in).
If you did coursework/controlled assessments last academic year and if it was with same awarding body that Bradford College use, you can ‘Carry Forward’ your results. Please indicate this on your Entry form, confirming the coursework unit code.
Unfortunately, due to the high volume of students we currently have we will not be able to accept private candidates for Maths or English GCSE.
Any advice given by staff of Bradford College by any means is given without prejudice. It is the responsibility of the candidate and/or their parents or Guardians to ensure entries are correct and that correct procedures are followed for the completion of the course and its examinations.
You can e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org or telephone the college on 01274 433333 advising you'd like to discuss undertaking a private exam. Our FE Registry team will be happy to help you.
