The marketing team at Bradford College has been shortlisted for another national award.
The team is up for the Professional Services Team of the Year prize at the Tes FE Awards 2019.
If the team brings home the trophy from the ceremony next month it will sit alongside the Marketing Team of the Year one they won at the FE First Awards organised by the College Marketing Network in December.
The Tes FE Awards recognise the most outstanding individuals and institutions that the FE sector has to offer. The Bradford College team made it to the shortlist after defying budget constraints to smash ambitious recruitment targets by restructuring and increasing focus on digital activity.
Gemma Dunn, Head of Marketing and Communications at Bradford College, said: “The category entry highlighted the marketing team’s resilience and ability to deliver strategically aligned, successful marketing and recruitment campaigns against reduced budget and resource limitations. The reinvention of careers-themed open events, engaging enrolment materials and targeted digital marketing campaigns contributed towards the team achieving over 37 million ‘opportunities to see’ via the summer campaign, which informed the development of a new marketing and recruitment strategy designed to enhance the reputation of the College and reach new audiences. Enabling the team to epitomise professional service whilst attaining an unbelievable standard of output.”
Tes FE editor Stephen Exley said: “Excellent practice exists right across the further education sector, and those shortlisted for the Tes FE Awards are the cream of the crop. Our judges were extremely impressed with the calibre of entries.
“We had more entries for this year’s categories than ever before, and the standard was higher than ever. To be shortlisted is an extraordinary achievement.”
Apprenticeships and skills minister Anne Milton said those shortlisted “should be really proud”. She added: “The awards are a fantastic way to highlight the exceptional and innovative work going on in the sector. I know this will continue, develop and even get better.”
The marketing team at Bradford College is among eight teams from further education colleges across the UK, including Belfast, Exeter and Glasgow, vying for the title of Professional Services Team of the Year.
The winners will be revealed at a gala awards evening at the Grosvenor House Hotel, Park Lane, London on Friday 22 March 2019. More than 800 guests are expected to attend the ceremony including government ministers and many of the great and good from the education sector.
