College celebrates Access to HE Science students

Access to HE Science students and staff at Bradford College

Students on Access to HE Science courses at Bradford College were celebrated at an end of course ceremony acknowledging the completion of their diplomas.

Following a successful year and some excellent academic performances, several students were presented with awards.

A variety of awards were presented by Access to HE Science course lead Amera Kaviel and awarded by the Programme Area leader Ruth Tomlinson.

Awards included Student of the Year prize for showing complete dedication and commitment on the course, which included 100 per cent attendance, producing outstanding work and obtaining 45 credits at distinction. The two winners were Michelle Shaw who will be progressing to do radiography and Nahum Farrar who will be progressing to do biomedical science at University of Bradford.

Other awards included outstanding progression made on the course for Soha Kahea and Qasim Ali, 100 per cent attendance over three years for Shamaila Bibi and awards for outstanding attitude and achieving 45 credits at distinction for Ikra Saleem, Omar Malik, Bola Ogunoye, Hurairah Rashid and Deeon Pryce.

All the Access to HE Science students have been offered places for a variety of HE courses including optometry, pharmacy, biomedical sciences, radiography, clinical sciences, forensic science, chemistry, cardio-physiology and other science related courses.
