College to Inspire Women into STEAM

Schoolgirls from across the city will be at Bradford College tomorrow, Wednesday March 23, for an event designed to encourage them to consider a career in STEAM - science, technology, engineering, arts and maths.
The 'Women in STEAM' fair, at the Advanced Technology Centre, will welcome Year 10 and 11 pupils and invite them to take part in a number of interactive workshops including 3D printing and computer animation.
A number of prominent businesses will also be present including biotechnology firm Syngenta and Yorkshire Water.
Careers advisors will also be around to offer guidance and advice on employment options in STEAM areas.
Bradford College's £10m Advances Technology Centre opened last year to provide young people and adults with access to state-of-the-art technology to develop the specialist skills sought by employers regionally, nationally and internationally in the STEAM sectors.
