Bradford College has been recognised for its provision of high quality training and excellent skills development for Hospitality - gaining a Silver Accreditation from the leading industry skills body, the Hospitality Guild.
“We have put a lot of work into making sure our students get the experience they need through our college restaurant and to have that work recognised, both by the Hospitality Guild and the AA, has been absolutely fantastic."
Hayley Lomas, Programme Manager for Hospitality and Travel
The College is one of the first in the country to be recognised through the accreditation scheme, which has both Gold and Silver levels. The scheme has been developed to recognise and celebrate excellence in the training and qualification delivery.
Bradford College was commended for its excellent commitment to service and students, which created a real team spirit and placing it among the best colleges in the country to study Hospitality.
Annette Allmark, head of professionalism at the Hospitality Guild, said that Bradford College was to be commended for the quality of the education it provides.
“We visited the college with a number of employers and industry experts and spoke to a wide range of people, including lecturers, management and the students themselves.
“Everything the college does is designed to meet the students’ needs and make sure that they gain the skills they need to move successfully into employment when they finish.”
In addition to the classroom-based training facilities, Bradford College also offers students the opportunity to get experience working in a real restaurant through its Level6 Restaurant, which has also been given an AA College Rosette Award.
Hayley Lomas, Programme Manager for Hospitality and Travel at Bradford College, said that she was thrilled with the recognition the college had received, especially around the restaurant.
“We have put a lot of work into making sure our students get the experience they need through our college restaurant and to have that work recognised, both by the Hospitality Guild and the AA, has been absolutely fantastic.
“We have a dedicated team of staff who work incredibly hard to ensure each and every learner gets the opportunity to reach their full potential in a professional, nurturing and caring environment.”
