Need help and support for your studies?
We have a team dedicated to supporting students with Special Educational Needs or Disabilities (SEND) to enable you to achieve study goals and prepare for employment.
This includes support for:
- Autism or Asperger’s syndrome
- Medical conditions
- Physical disabilities
- Deaf or hearing loss
- Blind or partially sighted
- Specific learning difficulties such as dyslexia, dyspraxia, dyscalculia
- Temporary disabilities
We offer a range of support to best suit the needs for individual student, including:
- Assessment of learning needs
- One-to-one study skills support sessions
- Guidance to improve study skills
- Special arrangements for exams such as a scribe, reader or extra time
- Learning support workers to help in classes
- Communication Support Workers and BSL interpreters
- Adapted documents and materials, for example in large print or braille
- Access to assistive technology
