Levels 2 and 3 Apprenticeship in Barbering
Overview
Apprenticeships give you the opportunity to learn and train in your chosen career as well as earning a regular pay packet. You will be given first-hand experience and learn the majority of the skills needed on the job, whilst also completing off-the-job training.
Key Info
Through this apprenticeship you will meet new people and build up regular clients providing services such as cutting and styling hair and facial hair on men and boys. You will be given training in a salon to enhance your artistic flair whilst working towards a nationally-recognised qualification.
Typical tasks:
- Cutting, trimming, shampooing and styling hair
- Trimming beards
- Giving shaves
You will be required to study on a day release basis.
Level 2:
Requires GCSE Mathematics and English at a minimum of Grade C/4 or Entry 3 on the Literacy and Numeracy BKSB screening.
Level 3:
Requires GCSE Mathematics and English at a minimum of Grade C/4 or Level 1 on the Literacy and Numeracy BKSB screening.
Successful completion of your apprenticeship will successfully prepare you for progression to employment in barbering.
Apprenticeship Course Fees will be paid by your employer.
