Overview

As a Hairdressing Apprentice, you will work as a salon junior, assisting senior staff while training as a junior stylist.
Being a hairdresser is a rewarding and enjoyable career, helping people feel their best and offering the chance to channel your creative flair.
Apprenticeships give you the opportunity to learn and train in your chosen career as well as earning regular pay. You receive first-hand experience and learn the majority of the skills you need on the job, whilst also completing off-the-job training.

A kit, uniform and Hairdressing text book.

Typical tasks include:
- Booking Appointments
- Shampooing
- Conditioning
- Drying and Styling Hair
- Mixing and Applying Hair Colouring
You will be required to study on a day release basis.
Level 2: GCSE Maths and English at a minimum of Grade C/4 or Entry 3 on the Literacy and Numeracy BKSB screening.
Level 3: GCSE Maths and English at a minimum of Grade C/4 or Level 1 on the Literacy and Numeracy BKSB screening.
Successful completion of this apprenticeship can lead to further study or employment.
