This course provides you with a comprehensive education in the music industry, including performance, production, songwriting, composition, engineering, and business. With a focus on real-world experience, the course includes industry visits, masterclasses, and live project briefs. Students will develop their musical skills, theoretical understanding, and communication abilities to become well-rounded professionals in the field.
Throughout the course, students will perform at high-profile events and recording sessions, producing a portfolio of original songs, tracks, and soundtracks for film, TV, and games. They will also receive training in working with venues, managing events, delivering training and workshops, community groups, and distributing their own music.The course offers a range of benefits, including free instrument/voice lessons, industry-standard equipment and facilities, live sessions, work experience opportunities and international trips. Students will also receive guest lecturers and masterclasses from industry experts and one-on-one mentorship throughout their course.Graduates of this course are well-equipped for higher education or to enter the industry as successful performers or professionals in areas such as songwriting, production, promotion and marketing, event management, and more.
The course will give you an overview of a range of activities such as composition, listening skills, band rehearsal techniques and the delivery of a music performance and production. There is also an opportunity to research the history and context of music performance and production and use it to inform practice. You will develop the ability to research, analyse and evaluate relevant information in order to develop creative solutions to complex problems. You will learn how to use practical methods and skills for creative production for appropriate audiences whilst being able to review their effectiveness for further improvement. You will also begin to take responsibility for the research, planning, time management and actions necessary to access progression opportunities in Higher Education or related work.

4 GCSEs including English Grade 4 Maths Grade 3
You will be assessed through ongoing course work of each project and then for each final project, you will be graded on the overall process of this project.
There will be opportunities to work on live briefs with real life clients. Students will be encouraged and supported to make industry links.
Successful completion of the course can lead to progression to a UAL Level 3 Diploma in Music, Performance and Production and offers the opportunity to progress to a Level 3 Extended Diploma. You can progress to further study or employment within the creative and music industries.
