Overview
Are you passionate about all things nails and beauty? This part-time adult course is your perfect route into the nail enhancement industry. Learn about nail art, manicure and pedicure treatments and safe and professional use of nail care equipment.
This Level 3 in Nail Technology is a substantial vocational qualification that will prepare you for a career as a nail technician. This qualification is designed to help support you to gain employment as a nail technician, as this qualification covers all of the skills and knowledge required for this role.

You will develop essential knowledge of nail enhancement techniques designed to prepare you for a career in the nail care industry, the skills you will learn include:
- Providing manicure and pedicure treatments
- Applying and maintaining nail enhancements
- Client care and communication in beauty-related industries
- Monitor and maintain health and safety practice in the salon
- Maintaining personal health and wellbeing
- Enhance nails using electric files
- Display stock to promote sales in a salon
- Promote products and services to clients in a salon
- Design and apply nail art
- Airbrush designs for nails
You do not need to have any previous knowledge of nail care and enhancement. Ideally, you will hold a minimum of a grade 3 in English or equivalent. Mature learners must have a good grasp of English. Individual cases will be discussed.
Please note that you will be required to purchase a nail kit, costing approximately £100.
Assessment includes practical assessment, as well as online exams, where you will showcase the skills you have developed throughout your time on the course.
Successful completion of this course will prepare you for employment in the nail care and enhancement industry. You may choose to progress into a career as a Nail Technician, with the opportunity to work for yourself.
