Overview
Apprenticeships give you the opportunity to learn and train in your chosen career as well as earning a regular pay packet. You will be given first-hand experience and learn the majority of the skills needed on the job, whilst also completing off-the-job training.
As an apprentice light vehicle technician, you will service and repair vehicles such as vans and cars. You will be trained in all aspects of vehicle mechanics and electronics including air conditioning, security features, engine and exhaust systems.

- Servicing vehicles
- Producing time estimates
- Repairing and replacing faulty parts and components.
You will be required to study on a day release basis.
GCSE Mathematics and English at a minimum of Grade C/4 or Level 1 on the Literacy and Numeracy BKSB screening.
English and/or Mathematics will be included in your timetable if you have not achieved a GCSE at grade 4 or above in these subjects when you start your course.
