Apprenticeships give you the opportunity to learn and train in your chosen career as well as earning a regular pay packet. You will be given first-hand experience and learn the majority of the skills needed on the job, whilst also completing off-the-job training.
This apprenticeship addresses a wide range of skills needed in the design, manufacture or testing of electrical and electronic components, circuits, panel wiring and control systems. Apprentices work with high and low voltage equipment in areas such as power generation, transportation, manufacturing and construction.
- Selecting and connecting individual components
- Connecting components and assemblies to machinery
- Wiring complete machines
You will be required to study on a day release basis.
GCSE Mathematics and English at a minimum of Grade C/4 or Level 1 on the Literacy and Numeracy BKSB.
English and/or Mathematics will be included in your timetable if you have not achieved a GCSE at grade 4 or above in these subjects when you start your course.
Apprenticeship Course Fees will be paid by your employer.
