  Overview

This course is Aimed at 19+ Barbers who are working in the industry and proficient in their trade but do not have a formal qualification. Learners must demonstrate that they are occupationally competent before enrolling on the course.The majority of the theoretical aspects would be taught and available remotely, learners could access at times to suit working patterns. You would be expected to study the theoretical elements of the course independently by accessing the on line materials. Learners would attend college to for face-to-face practical assessments and to sit the external exams infilling into existing sessions by arrangement.

  • Following Health and Safety Guidance

There are no formal entry requirements for this course but you must have competent barbering skills and currently be working in the industry.

Please note that you will be required to have a basic barbering kit and would be required to purchase a mannequin head.

You will be assessed on a continual basis. Practical skills will be assessed on paying clients in a realistic working environment. You will be expected to source your own models for assessment. Assessment also includes online exams.

Successful completion of this course can lead to progression to further study, or confidence and experience in your skills for continued employment in the Barbering and Hairdressing sector.
