This CACHE Level 2 Certificate will increase your awareness and understanding of behaviour that challenges and its effects. The knowledge you will gain in this course can allow you to progress onto other qualifications and into employment in the childcare or health and social care sector. This could be useful if you are currently working in education settings. This course is right for you if your job involves supporting children, young people or adults with learning disabilities or those who may display challenging behaviour, or if you plan to work in a similar job role.
The duration of this course is 12 months and you will be required to attend a session at the college once a week during term time. You may be able to negotiate completing the requirements via distance learning or by delivery of the course in your workplace.

You will develop the key skills and techniques that you need to work with those with behavioural issues. You will understand how to support individuals through effective communication and understanding of their situation.

- Understanding the Role of Reflection and Support for Those Involved in Incidents of Behaviour That Challenges
You do not need to have a previous qualification or work experience to study this course. However, you may find it helpful if you have already achieved a Level 1 qualification in healthcare, social care, childcare or supporting learning.
You do not need to be working or take a practical placement to get this qualification. However if you are working, volunteering or on a practical placement this would support your learning and development.

You will be assessed by your tutor using a range of methods. This could include:

- Written Assignments
- A Set Task
Successful completion of this course can lead to progression to further study or employment. After gaining this qualification you can progress in careers in:

If you are 16 to 18 years old you won't have to pay tuition fees. If you're 19 or older you may need to pay a fee. The amount depends on the course and on the number of hours.
