Apprenticeships give you the opportunity to learn and train in your chosen career as well as earning a regular pay packet. You will be given first-hand experience and learn the majority of the skills needed on the job, whilst also completing off-the-job training.
As a plumbing apprentice, you will be involved in the installation of bathroom suites, central heating systems and above ground sanitation. You will also be responsible for their general day-to-day repairs and maintenance.
- Working at heights and in confined spaces
- Installing water, drainage and heating systems
- Finding and fixing faults
- Installing and fixing domestic appliances
You will be required to study on a day release basis.
GCSE Mathematics and English at a minimum of Grade C/4 or Level 1 on the Literacy and Numeracy BKSB.
English and/or Mathematics will be included in your timetable if you have not achieved a GCSE at grade 4 or above in these subjects when you start your course.
Apprenticeship Course Fees will be paid by your employer.
