  Overview

This creative course will give you opportunity to learn some basic metalworking skills with which to make jewellery. Study part-time with us and pick up a fun new hobby!

We offer both Introduction and Improvers courses in Jewellery Making and Precious Metals.

This course is offered at differing times and locations, ideal to fit around your schedule:

Mondays, 6:15pm – 8:45pm at the Yorkshire Craft Centre.

Wednesdays, 12:30pm – 3pm at the Yorkshire Craft Centre.

Thursdays, 12:30pm – 3pm at the Yorkshire Craft Centre.

Thursdays, 6:15pm – 8:45pm at the Yorkshire Craft Centre.

Introduction:

On this creative course you will have the opportunity to learn some basic metalworking skills with which to make jewellery. With our help, you will learn to produce hand-crafted items such as rings, earrings and pendants using silver, copper and semi-precious gems. Materials will be available via the tutor and costs will vary according to market prices at the time. You will explore business opportunities in relation to this craft.

Improvers:

This improvers course is perfect if you already have some basic small metalworking experience. Projects such as stud earrings, twist rings and decorative pendants are designed to build on your existing skills, especially silver soldering.
