Course Overview

The Award enables you to progress to either a Level 2 Certificate in Youth Work (Youth Work Support Worker) or Level 3 Certificate in Youth Work.

Classes will run one evening per week, term-time only.

Course Structure

The Award comprises four units which, if completed, create the Award or individual units that can be assessed to meet your individual needs.

The qualification will enable you to link theory to practice in an experiential learning environment.

You will gain the necessary skills to become a dynamic and resourceful practitioner.

The units covered are:

  • Engaging and Communicating With Young People
  • Safeguarding in a Youth Work Setting
  • Theory of Youth Work
  • Young People’s Development.

Entry Requirements

A minimum age requirement is 18.

For the Level 2 Award you will need to be in paid, unpaid or voluntary practice for a minimum of two hours per week to secure a place on the course.

Tuition Fees

If you are aged 19+ and studying a Further Education Course at Bradford College, you may have to pay course fees. Course fees are dependent on the number of hours and which course is being taken. Actual costs can be obtained from our team.
