Course Overview

If you have learning difficulties and/or disabilities and want to become more confident and independent in life, our study programmes have been designed to help you develop your skills in a number of different areas to support you in growing your skills, knowledge and independence to take part in life, learning and work activities.

You will join in with familiar tasks and activities that will teach you the core life skills that you need to develop your personal, social and educational well-being such as managing your own money, cooking your own food and planning your own career. With guidance and support from your tutor or assessor every step of the way, you will build your confidence and skills to live an independent life within your community.

Course Structure

Communication, reading, writing and mathematics are some of the many areas you will take part in to develop your skills for tasks in the home, personal activities, independent living and for the workplace.

All learning will be tailored to you, to ensure you have the best educational experience and fully engage with the world around you!

Entry Requirements

There are no specific entry requirements.

This course is suitable for those with learning difficulties and/or disabilities.

English and/or Mathematics will be included in your timetable if you have not achieved a GCSE at Grade A*-C in these subjects when you commence your course.

Tuition Fees

If you are aged 19+ and studying a Further Education Course at Bradford College, you may have to pay course fees. Course fees are dependent on the number of hours and which course is being taken. Actual costs can be obtained from our FE Registry team.
