Course Overview

Apprenticeships give you the opportunity to learn and train in your chosen career as well as earning a regular pay packet. You will be given first-hand experience and learn the majority of the skills needed on the job, whilst also completing off-the-job training.

This apprenticeship is ideal for those interested in becoming a multiskilled tradesperson. You will learn skills required for a variety of construction disciplines including brickwork, joinery, painting and decorating and plastering.


Course Structure

Typical tasks:

  • Carrying out property refurbishments
  • Hanging doors
  • Carrying out minor ground works such as bricklaying
  • Carrying out small aspects of plumbing works such as fixing small leaks and taps.

You will be required to study on a day release basis.

Entry Requirements

GCSE English and Mathematics at a minimum of Grade C/4 or Entry 3 on the Literacy and Numeracy BKSB.

English and/or Mathematics will be included in your timetable if you have not achieved a GCSE at grade 4 or above in these subjects when you start your course.
