Course Overview

The Level 3 Diploma and Extended Diploma in Performing Arts will provide you with an interest in the Performing Arts and the opportunity to explore, develop and test your creativity within a qualification structure which is stimulating and demanding while also providing a supportive transition from general to more specialised study at degree level study and employment in the performing arts sector.

Successful completion of the course leads to a UAL Level 3 Diploma in Performing and Production Arts.

Course Structure

The Level 3 Diploma in Performing and Production Arts is a broad diagnostic course giving you an overview of different perspectives and approaches within performing and production arts or related subjects of study or work. You will develop the ability to research, analyse and evaluate relevant information in order to develop creative solutions to complex problems. You will learn how to use practical methods and skills for creative production for appropriate audiences whilst being able to review their effectiveness for further improvement. You will also begin to take responsibility for the research, planning, time management and actions necessary to access progression opportunities in Higher Education or related work.

Entry Requirements

Four GCSEs at a minimum of Grade C/4 or above, including English and Mathematics and one in a Performing Arts related subject or an equivalent Level 2 qualification in a relevant subject.

You should be aged 16+.

English and/or Mathematics will be included in your timetable if you have not achieved a GCSE at Grade A*-C in these subjects when you commence your course.
