Course Overview

Apprenticeships give you the opportunity to learn and train in your chosen career as well as earning a regular pay packet. You will be given first hand experience and learn the skills needed on the job.

This apprenticeship gives you the skills and knowledge to work effectively and efficiently with IT systems, communication and productivity tools, and software applications. During your apprenticeship you will gain the confidence to support colleagues with IT projects and troubleshooting to ensure that IT systems work effectively.

 

Course Structure

Typical tasks:

  • Creating spreadsheets for collating and reporting data
  • Creating documents using Microsoft Office packages
  • Using emailing systems
  • Using databases.

You will be required to study on a day release basis.

 

 

Entry Requirements

Level 2: GCSE Mathematics and English at Grade A*-C/9-4 or Entry 3 on the Literacy and Numeracy BKSB screening.

Level 3: GCSE Mathematics and English at Grade A*-C/9-4 or Level 1 on the Literacy and Numeracy BKSB screening.

 

English and/or Mathematics will be included in your timetable if you have not achieved a GCSE at grade 4 or above in these subjects when you start your course.
