Course Overview

This Award qualifies you to be an assessor for NVQ and other competence based courses. You will receive a half-day induction in College and then use online learning to achieve the qualification.

The Award is for practitioners who assess achievement in vocationally-related situations, eg classrooms or workshops, and who use the following assessment methods: assessments in simulated environments, skills tests, oral and written questions, assignments, projects, case studies and prior learning.

  • Unit 3 - Assess Vocational Skills, Knowledge and Understanding.

Entry Requirements

You need to provide the names of two students you can assess who are on a BTEC, NVQ or similar award, each with a minimum of two units and have a qualified Assessor and Verifier to support you.

How Will I Learn?

You will be visited in your workplace in order to observe your practice. The qualification can be done at your own pace but we would aim for you to complete it within six months.
