Course Overview

This is the first of three Levels which you are required to achieve to become a fully qualified AAT Accounting Technician.  It is also a valuable qualification in its own right for those working in a junior accounting role.

The course can be studied either during the day or on two evenings per week.  Our daytime class is on Monday between 09:30 and 16:30, or you can choose to study on Monday and Wednesday evenings between 18:00 and 21:00.

Course Structure

The Certificate level is made up of six Units.  You will be introduced to financial accounting through studying book-keeping using both manual and computerised systems.  Costing and the skills needed to work effectively within the accounting workplace form further elements of the course.

IT skills are desirable as the course includes the study of computerised accounting software, SAGE.  You must also register with the AAT for which full details will be given at induction.
