Course overview

The CACHE Level 2 Certificate in Understanding Behaviour that Challenges will enable students to develop awareness and deeper understanding of behaviour that challenges and its effects. The knowledge gained from this qualification could enable students to progress onto other appropriate qualifications and/or into relevant employment within the health and social care sector. This qualification is especially useful to those already working within education or health and social care.

What you'll study

You must complete all assessments in the agreed timescales and submit these for marking by our team of qualified tutors. If your course is paper-based these are sent to us in the post or can be typed up and emailed. If you are studying online these are submitted electronically direct to your tutor.  Your tutor will then provide you with feedback along with advice and guidance to help you successfully complete the course.  There is also support available from the office team.

Upon successful completion of two assessments you will be awarded the NCFE Level 2 Certificate in Understanding Behaviour that Challenges.

The course contains two assessments.

Assessment 1:

Section 1 – Understand Behaviour that Challenges Section 2 – Understand How to Support Positive Behaviour. Assessment 2:

Section 1 – Understand the Importance of Effective Communication and the Management of Behaviour that Challenges Section 2 – Understand the Role of Reflection and Support for Those Involved in Incidents of Behaviour that Challenges.

Your work will then be sent to an assessor to be marked who will provide you with feedback along with advice and guidance to help you successfully complete the course.  There is also support available from the office team. Upon successful complete of two assessments you will be awarded the CACHE Level 2 Certificate in Understanding Behaviour that Challenges course.

Entry requirements

To be eligible to study our courses students must be:

  • Aged 19 or over (students under 19 may study our courses if they are employed. A letter of evidence from their employer stating the benefit of the course to their professional development must be submitted prior to enrolment)
  • Currently living in England and have lived in the UK/EU for the last 3 years (non EU nationals must provide evidence of their passport/visa with their application)
  • Students must not be studying another course, apprenticeship or traineeship with Bradford College or another education provider. There are exemptions to this depending on how the course is funded. Students in receipt of Advanced Learner Loans or student finance will be ineligible for our courses.
