Our pathway will take you from working on cold water systems at Level 1 through to becoming a heating engineer working on gas systems at Level 3. That’s where the money is! As we teach you these skills, we will show you how to install the modern alternatives – such as solar thermal and ground/air source heat pumps so that your skills are cutting edge and future proofed. The industry is changing so quickly – and new technology is coming out all of the time – so we work with employers across Bradford to make sure what we are teaching you is fully up to date and has real value to companies when you go to work for them.
Course overview
Our official City and Guilds Level 1 course gives you the skills needed to become an apprentice Plumber. Much like electrical, you can chose to work for yourself, fitting central heating, repairing boilers and putting new bathrooms in – or you can take advantage of our partnerships with utilities companies and go to the industrial side of things and specialise in fitting pipework that needs a crane to lift it! With a big focus on energy efficiency and the environment, there’s never been a better time to train as a modern plumber.
