As part of the course, you will develop your personal development skills, including working with others, communication, study skills and employability skills.
You will also study English and Maths and have a personal tutor who will support you throughout the course.
The course is highly personalised.
Learning activities are designed to enable you to work towards individualised targets that are meaningful and in keeping with your own goals and aspirations.
You will:
- develop work-related skills relevant to the physical and emotional needs of young children and adults
- learn about dietary, exercise health and safety and emotional needs of children and adults
- learn about development from birth to old age and the role of the practitioner
30 hours of relevant experience of work are included in the course.
This qualification is ideal to enable learners of all abilities to access a qualification and grow in confidence.
It also provides learners with a perfect opportunity to progress onto further educational pathways specialising in childcare or health and social care.
