  • Principles & Applications of Structural Mechanics

Assessment

You will be assessed by the completion of assignments and externally set exams.

Entry requirements

4 GCSEs at Grade 4 or above including English, Maths and Science.

BTEC Foundation Diploma in Construction Management and the Built Environment.

Work experience

Your course may include work experience or a work placement that could lead to the offer of a part-time or casual work, or you might work outside of your studies.

Our students benefit from local site visits and trips to construction companies, such as our award-winning local partner Priestley Construction.

Next steps

Successful completion of a Level 2 course can lead onto a Level 3 course. Your course may include work experience or a work placement that could lead to the offer of a part-time or casual work, or you might work outside of your studies. Working in the construction industry could see you constructing and managing major buildings, structures and facilities. You could also train to become your own boss and become self-employed.
