Course overview

This qualification develops the knowledge and skills needed when working in a teaching environment.  It covers a wide range of areas including educational theory and practice and psychology. The course also has units that will help to develop study skills and academic writing.

Portfolio based / unit assignments/presentations/exam

Entry requirements

19+ only.

Maths and English at C / 4 or above.

GCSE Science at C/4 – if wanting to advance to Primary and Early Years Education with QTS (please state on application)

Next steps

After successful completion the student can move on to university to study teaching within the primary, secondary and post-16 education at undergraduate level.
