Course Overview

This qualification is aimed at a range of learners, including young people needing to develop life skills as well as those who are thinking of working in childcare. It is also suitable for parents who wish to develop parenting skills, mature learners with special educational needs or where English is an additional language.

You will be studying three units: Healthy eating for families, sharing learning experiences with young children and Musical Activities for young children.

You will take part in various practical activities and make resources to support children's learning.

The course will be taught very informally by an experienced childcare tutor. You will learn in a relaxed and supported atmosphere with lots of support and encouragement.

You will meet new friends and develop your confidence.

You will achieve Bradford College Certificates including attendance and achievement and a Certificate from the Awarding Body for your Childcare Qualification.

You can also progress to other qualifications at Entry level and other related qualifications at Level 1, 2 and 3. However, this depends on your English qualification. Your tutor will be able to provide you with more information.
