Bradford College is a multi-award-winning College, with a national reputation for excellence in a number of fields.
The marketing team at Bradford College was shortlisted finalists for a prize in the Chartered Institute of Marketing’s Marketing Excellence Awards in 2018, for its recruitment campaign that used an American road system theme to guide students along a journey to enrolling at the College.
Bradford College has been chosen by the Royal Shakespeare Company as a ‘lead’ school as part of the RSC’s national Associate Schools programme.
The plastering department at Bradford College received a bronze award from British Gypsum, accompanied by a donation of plastering products and materials worth £5,000. The award recognises the College's high-quality training.
Sports coaching lecturer Sam Messam, from Bradford College University Centre, has been honoured with a National Teaching Fellowship (NTF) award in recognition of his excellence in teaching, scholarship and research.
Mally McIver has been an outstanding coach for Bradford College and England and won Coach of the Year award at the Bradford Sports Awards 2018. He coaches disadvantaged and behaviourally-challenged youngsters in the Bradford area, and has been nominated by GB Boxing to work with the UK Boxing Performance Foundation.
Adam Pothecary, who teaches English language and literature at Bradford College, was recognised in Oxford University’s annual Inspirational Teachers Awards. It recognised the inspirational role he played for former student Rocco Memery, now studying at Harris Manchester College, Oxford.
A Bradford College apprentice collected the trophy for Apprentice of the Year at the Bradford Means Business Awards 2017. Kieran Heptonstall, an apprentice with builders NDW Limited, impressed judges with his dedication to his job.
Bradford College pharmacy student Ben Smith has been named the top trainee in the country. He collected the Pre-registration Trainee Pharmacy Technician of the Year Award at the annual conference and celebration event organised by the Association of Pharmacy Technicians United Kingdom – APTUK.
A quartet of College students received prizes at the Association of British Dispensing Opticians awards 2017, held at Canterbury Cathedral.
