Bradford College Students’ Union triumphed in the National Union of Students Awards 2014 – winning the accolade for ‘Campaign of the Year’ and was announced as the winner of the Further Education Students’ Union of the Year at the National Union of Students Awards 2013.
Peter Macmillan of Bradford College Students’ Union was announced as the winner of the ‘2013 Learner Voice Practitioner of the Year’.
The College’s Vocational Science Department was announced as the winners of the ‘Provider of the Year’ Award at the UK Life Sciences Skills Awards – the first such awards for the Life Sciences sector.
Our Vocational Science Team were named winners at the NHS Partnership Award of the Year for their partnership with Leeds Pharmacy Development Unit and City Training Services.

Working in collaboration with award winning local restaurants, Bradford College has helped Bradford to retain Britain’s prestigious Curry Capital title for the third consecutive year. This is the four time the City of Bradford has scooped the coveted title.
Working in partnership with award winning restaurant Prashad, Bradford College smashed the Guinness World records for the largest onion bhaji in the world in 2011.
Not content with smashing the record for the biggest bhaji in the world, Bradford College decided to create the largest supersized vegetable samosa in the world, working with Prashad and Kiplings restaurant.
No previous Guinness World Record is held for the biggest samosa in the world - Bradford College, Prashad and Kiplings set a new precedent!
Bradford College has been recognised for its provision of high quality training and excellent skills development for Hospitality - gaining a Silver Accreditation from the leading industry skills body, the Hospitality Guild.
Bradford College's Women's Boxing Programme won the 2012 Podium Gold Awards, run by the Further and Higher Education unit for the London Olympics. The awards recognise the contribution the College has made towards the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
The Boxing programme won the ‘Outstanding Sporting Project Award’ and has been instrumental in driving female participation in the sport, as well as promoting the Olympic and Paralympic values.
Bradford College's women's boxing programme was the first project of its kind to be granted the ‘Inspire mark’, the badge of the London 2012 Inspire programme, which recognises innovative and exceptional projects directly inspired by the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
Bradford College also scooped the Bronze Award for International Sport - the only college or university in the country to win two awards!
The David Hockney Building at Bradford College has been nominated for a number of awards, includingthe BIM4SME Awards, Concrete Society Awards, West Yorkshire LABC Building Excellence Awards, and the Construction News Awards.
