What are Foundation Degrees?

Foundation Degrees are work-related, higher education qualifications that have been designed with employers. They combine work-based learning with academic study so that you graduate with the required level of knowledge, understanding and skills to kickstart or enhance your career. The qualification is broadly equivalent to the first two years of a bachelors degree.

Why do employers like them?

Foundation Degrees directly meet the needs of employers by delivering graduates who are fully prepared for the world of work and able to apply the required skills immediately.

Why do employees like them?

Foundation Degrees equip you with the education and relevant higher level skills needed to maximise career opportunities and prepare you for a promotion or career change.
