Resources and Facilities
The B Centre contains an open access IT suite, which is on the ground floor of the Westbrook building, where you can find information, advice and support. You can access a range of specialist equipment and software in this room on PCs and Macs equipped with large screens. You can work in this room, either on your own, or with a Learning Assistant, or with your Learning Support Tutor.
We also have a specialist low vision IT Suite containing three PCs, all with large screens. Other equipment in this room includes CCTV print enlargers and book readers. This IT Suite is also on the ground floor of the main college building, but in a quiet location. This room is kept locked but can be booked if you’re working with your Learning Assistant or Learning Support Tutor.
The B Centre also has its own specialist technology officer on hand to help you with any equipment you may have, any software you’re struggling with, or for any queries relating to your own equipment or equipment loaned to you by the college.
We are continuously updating the facilities in the B Centre IT Suite and low vision IT Suite. We are always interested to know if there is something you would like to try, which could be of benefit to other students as well.
