What is Train to Gain?
Train to Gain is a new service designed by the Learning and Skills Council to help businesses get the training they need to succeed.
Train to Gain is currently being rolled-out nationally across England, and Total Training Solutions at Bradford College has been specially selected to play a key role with employers. We can help your business improve its productivity and competitiveness by ensuring that staff have the right skills to do the best job. We can help boost your business and keep you ahead of the competition.
What can Train to Gain offer employers?
- A free impartial brokerage service to identify your business needs and source training solutions
- Funding to help employees gain their first full level 2 qualification, Skills for Life literacy and numeracy qualification, plus programmes such as Apprenticeships, Advanced Apprenticeships, NVQ Level 3 and selected higher qualifications such as leadership and management
- Training at a time and place to fit in with your working practices
- Training to suit the individual learning styles and commitments of your workforce
- Contribution to wage costs for companies with less than 50 full time equivalent employees
- On-going support provided by an independent nationally qualified skills broker
- Free Train to Gain training up to the value of £2600
What is an NVQ?
An NVQ qualification is a qualification that assesses someone’s skills and knowledge in a work situation. NVQs are delivered entirely in the workplace and are available at a range of levels and in a range of subjects. If your employees are over 19 and do not hold a full level 2 qualification they may be eligible for free NVQ training through Train to Gain.
