As soon as you decide to come to College you should apply for the funding available from the Government through Student Finance England. Full-time students who are studying for their first degree or other Higher Education course can benefit from a range of financial support. The financial support available is aimed at helping with the cost of your Tuition Fees and living costs (such as food, accommodation and travel). Previous study in Higher Education may affect whether the Government can financially support you through your studies, but there are other sources of funding which may be available to you. You may consider a Professional and Career Development Loan (PCDL) or may be eligible for a bursary or grant through various charities and trusts.
If you do not normally live in England, you will need to apply for your Government funding through the agencies listed below:
- Scottish Government* - students who normally live in Scotland
- Welsh Assembly Government* - students who normally live in Wales
- Northern Ireland Executive* - students who normally live in Northern Ireland
- Student Finance Europe* - students who normally live in the EU and intend to study in England
