Student Maintenance Loans

 

From 2009, new eligible full-time students can apply for a Student Loan to help with their living costs.  The maximum payable is £4,950 however there are several factors which may affect the amount.  These include:

•  Your household income.
•  Where you live while you're studying.
•  The amount of Student Maintenance Grant you receive.
•  The number of teaching weeks you're in College.

As these are loans, they have to be repaid.  More details can be found in the section  ‘When Will I Have to Repay My Student Loan’
