Applying for the Learner Support Fund 19 and over*

The Learner Support Fund is an income assessed fund to help towards the costs of doing a course at the College.  Eligible students may receive funding towards the following costs:

  • Materials costs - books, uniform, kits, stationary
  • Travel costs
  • Examination/enrolment admin fees (unless you receive fee remission)
  • Childcare provision

Any grants from the Learner Support Fund depends on you regularly attending your course and meeting the required attendance levels.  Please click here to download a copy of the Learner Support Fund Policy for 2012-13.

Once you have enrolled on your course, you need to apply as soon as possible.  If you wait, you may lose out on money you are entitled to.  To apply, you can either pick up an application form from any of the College's Student Information Desks (SID Offices), at enrolment, or you can print out the application by clicking on the links below.

Once you have completed your application and have enrolled at the College, please return this with any evidence or documents requested to any of the College SID Offices. You may have your supporting evidence taken in with the application and returned to you with your entitlement decision.  If you do not want to leave your originals, please make photocopies of the supporting evidence and we will take these in with your application instead.
