Financial Help for Students Aged 16 to 18

If you decide to come to the College, there may be additional costs such as travel, lunches, books and materials for you to pay for.  Don't worry; if you are a full-time student, there may be financial help available through the Enhanced Learner Support Fund*.

This enhanced fund will offer one of the following bursaries to eligible students:

Premium Bursary - This bursary will pay up to £1,200 to students who fall into the following categories:

  • Students in receipt of Income Support in their own right
  • Students who are in care or are care leavers
  • Students who are in receipt of both Employment Support Allowance (ESA) AND Disability Living Allowance (DLA)

Standard Bursary - This bursary is for students whose household is in receipt of an income replacement benefit or has an income of under £21,000.

You will receive financial help towards books, materials, travel to and from College and meals whilst at College.

All payments from the Learner Support Fund are made based on your level of attendance.
