Attendance

To ensure students at Bradford College fully benefit from their learning experience whilst at college, all students are required to attend classes regularly and punctually and are expected to maintain 100% attendance.

Students who are unable to attend college, e.g. absence due to sickness, should inform the SID (Student Information Desk) office before 10am on the morning of each day of absence. Be prepared to disclose your name, student ID number, course of study, nature of illness and intended return date.

Students who fail to maintain a satisfactory attendance record will be placed on a disciplinary procedure.  If you’re struggling with attendance we will endeavour to support you to ensure you can take full part in the course. If a student's attendance falls below 85%, he or she may be withdrawn from the course. It is important that you speak to your tutor or your progress coach if you are unable to attend all sessions on your timetable.

Someone to Talk to

Bradford College is aware that students may face barriers to attendance and offer the support of Student Progress Coaches to help students overcome any issues that are stopping them coming into college and attending all sessions. The Student Progress Coaches offer 1-1 confidential advice and guidance around course problems, home  life issues, finance and any other issues that students may face.

A Student Progress Coach is allocated to each FE curriculum area to offer support to full time 16-19 year old FE students.

Please refer to Student Progress Coaches for contact details
