Bradford College Bicycle Users Group
Welcome to the Bradford College Bicycle Users Group (BCBUG)
We’re a group of Bradford College cyclists who have come together to try and improve cycle facilities, both within the College as well as working with local groups to improve facilities within the city of Bradford.
Aims:
The aims of the Bradford College Bicycle Users Group are:
1) To promote cycling to work / College as a healthy alternative means of transport for both staff and students.
2) To participate / feed into Bradford College sustainable travel plans to provide college-wide cycle facilities and policies.
3) To provide a central source of disseminating College related cycling information as well as inviting discussion and debate around all cycling relating issues.
BCBUG hopes to achieve the following:
1) A well-informed cyclist's voice on the Green Travel Plan Steering group to develop suitable facilities throughout the campus.
2) High quality cycle parking consisting of secure bike racks/stands that are suitable for use by all types of cycles at all College buildings.
3) Showering and suitable locker facilities for cyclists at all College buildings.Who We Are
The group is open to anyone who works or studies at the College; especially those who cycle and/or who have an interest in the facilities provided on campus. All students and staff are welcome to contribute their views and support.
As part of the Green Travel Plan the College has appointed a Cycling Champion who attends the Green Travel Plan Steering Group meetings that are held every month in order to promote the views of all College cyclists.
