The results of the Bradford College Staff Health Survey suggested out of the 145 smokers who responded, 68% stated they’d like to give up in the next year. 37% stated they’d tried to quit last year.
Staff suggested one of the services that would help them to quit would be formal health care provision for smoking cessation.
The Occupational Health & Safety Team at Bradford College are setting up a Smoking Cessation Service for all members of Bradford College staff. This will take the form of 1:1 clinics which will be accessible by appointment only, to fit around you.
The programme usually runs for 8 weeks and you will need an appointment initially which may last up to an hour. Subsequent appointments will only last a few minutes and will be to monitor your progress.
To make an appointment please contact Rita Ogden, Occupational Health Specialist Practitioner on ext. 3259.
I look forward to hearing from you!
