Healthy College- Initiatives

The Healthy College has a full schedule for this academic year for Chlamydia screening for students.  Chlamydia is one of the most common treatable sexually transmitted infections in under 25 year olds.  Most people have no symptoms. Chlamydia can cause infertility and ectopic pregnancies.

Please make a note of when the screening is taking place in your area.  Let students know who they are, and how important it is to take the test!  This will really help increase the numbers for the screening throughout the academic year.

If you would like the local PCT to come in and give a talk on sexual health to your students as part of the group tutorial programme, please contact Rebecca Blakey -who Rebecca.Blakey@bradford.nhs.uk will be happy to talk to the students in class and offer testing.
