Did You Know...

Studies have shown that 70% of waste in office bins can be recycled. By recycling paper/card and by separating waste we can help reduce landfill sites.  This all helps to slow the world’s consumption of forests.

  • The average office worker generates about 35kg of waste paper each year
  • We throw away 9 Million tons of packaging a year, enough to fill 245 Jumbo Jets in a week
  • For every tonne of Paper recycled 17 trees are spared, 7000 gallons of water is saved and 4200KWh less electricity is used
  • When all this paper ends up in landfill sites it produces methane as it decomposes
  • Almost 5 Million tonnes of waste paper is sent to landfill or incineration sites each year
